The world's biggest stock exchange, which is the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), is reported to have started offering Bitcoin futures.
Market leader reports that the NYSE is not the first stock exchange to launch its Bitcoin futures. The Chicago Merchantise Exchange (the CME) was actually the first one to start offering Bitcoin futures in 2017. Since then, the daily average turnover has already reached 200 million dollars, and still growing. Apparently, the NYSE also decided to expand the list of assets.
THe BTC futures offered by the NYSE are actually traded through the Bakkt platform. The platform ws designed to trade digital assets. By the way, Microsoft is of its investors.
It should be note that international investors are positive on the prospects of the Bitcoin derivatives offered by the NYSE. However, this positivity didn't push the prices higher during the first trading day. On the contrary, the prices want down a bit on the day. Still, the experts don't see any reasons to panic. They say, that the market is yet to show positive reaction to this event, which will definitely push the BTC price higher. At this point, Bitcoin is trading around 9650 dollars per coin.
The current list of Bitcoin futures offered by the NYSE includes daily and monthly futures. The representatives of the Bakkt platform are sure that the new product will become very popular with international investors. Some experts even predict a rally up to 20000 dollars per coin.
