Asian-Pacific Markets Close In Green Zone


 

 

Today’s trading session in the Asian-Pacific region closed in the green zone. Most stock indexes gained throughout the day. The markets were reassured by Wen Jaibao’s speech. He underlined that an inflation slowdown gave the Chinese authorities an opportunity to stimulate the national economy.

 

 

 

 

 

 
·         MSCI Asia Pacific gained 0,5% and reached 120,43.
·         Nikkei 225: +1,88%.
·         Kospi:0,05%
·         S&P/ASX: +1,14%
·         Hang Seng: -0.45%.
 
In the meantime, the Japanese Yen showed weakness, thus allowing Japanese exporters to see their stocks boosting:
·         Honda Motor Co. gained 2,1%,
·         Mazda Motor –3,3%,
·         Toyota Motor Corp. - 3,2%,
·         Sony Corp. - 3,9%,
·         Canon Inc. - 2,8%.
